Watch the Flyscreen Queen film showing
a heavy duty door in action!
These doors need some DIY input but they are extremely easy to
fit especially as the weights are pre-fitted. You can cut the
UPVC top rail to precisely fit the doorway and it can either be
screwed to the door frame or attached with hook and loop tape
which needs to be purchased separately.
What is the difference between the Budget Charcoal
Door and the more expensive Charcoal/Butterfly/Blue/Charcoal-Grey
Heavy Duty Doors?
The budget screen has pre fitted weights which are lighter than
the more expensive one and the material is more like plain polyester
netting, whereas the more expensive one is heavier polyester glass
fibre. Also the plastic is a tad lighter. However, fitting the
budget screen is just that bit easier.
These door curtains are easily assembled and attach
to a durable black uPVC rail. This rail is fixed to the door frame
by screws. However, if you do not want to make holes these door
curtains can also be fixed directly to uPVC door or wooden frames
by using hook and eye tape which we sell separately. Fitting a
heavy duty flyscreen can be done in 7 easy stages.
1. Measure the doorway.
2. Cut the UPVC rail to size.
3. Fix the back section of the hanging rail using the fixing screws
provided, or hook and eye tape bought separately.
4. Using the plastic fixing clips supplied to fix the top of each
curtain strip within the slot of the hanging rail.
5. Overlap each strip of material by 30mm.
6. Once all four strips are correctly clipped into position then
fix the cover section of the hanging rail into place.
7. Trim the excess curtain material away from the top of the hanging
rail using a sharp knife, or ideally scissors.
