What are they? High quality Folding Concertina Type Door. The material is folded and tensioned by a thread which runs through it.
Sizes and Colours? White aluminium cassette with grey fly screen material whuch is usuable on a door way up to 130cm wide by 210cm high, but because of the way this door works it is possible to mount one cassette at either end and they can meet in the middle to cover a doorway of up to 260cm wide.
Easy to Fit? Yes it is. However adjusting it for height is quite involved and there is only a small amount (10cm) that you can easily cut off, so we believe it is best used at the full height. The cassette which contains the material and runs on a recessed bottom profile which although is held in place by adhesive tape should also be screwed into the floor at the opposite end to tension the string. There is also a top profile and this system is designed to fit inside a framework or a reveal. However, it possible to fit into a conventional doorway by simply fitting a L shaped plastic profile that the material pulls up to, as we have done in the pictures. Ideally it should be used at full height as it can only be adjusted by a few centimetres, whereas width is not a problem it will open up to a maximum of 130cm (260cm when you use two) and the top and bottom profiles can easily be cut to size. Easy to Use? Yes. You simply pull the material from the cassette. As there is no spring involved the door never snaps back or needs to be secured with a magnet or other catch.
